“NAB 2009“ in Las Vegas
Kathrein establish themselves in Brazilian broadcasting network

Anybody who is anybody in the media sector attends the “NAB” (National Association of Broadcasters) in Las Vegas. Roughly 84,000 trade visitors and 1,600 exhibitors use this key get-together held in the American gambling paradise Las Vegas to present new products and technical innovations.
Together with their American subsidiary KATHREIN Inc. Scala Division and KATHREIN-Mobilcom Brasil, the Rosenheim antenna specialists of KATHREIN-Werke KG presented their new products in the field of broadcast and reception technology at a joint stand.
During the six-day event, the most important visitor came from Brazil: “Rede Record“, the operator of a nation-wide TV and radio broadcasting network in Brazil.
“In 2008 and 2009 alone, we delivered and set up broadcast antennas for sites in Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Belem, Campo Grande, Goiania and Porto Alegre“, summarised entrepreneur Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Anton Kathrein (in picture 6^th from left). “The supplied antenna types include systems that transmit TV signals in the VHF bands I and III as well as in the UHF band.
