Kathrein receives follow-up order from KBS in South Korea

In 2007, the Rosenheim antenna specialist Kathrein delivered nine DMB broadcast antenna systems (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) for digital TV to South Korea and successfully put them into operation. Now, the internationally active technicians and engineers from Kathrein are proud to have received a follow-up order: the South Korean company KBS has placed an order for three additional stations.
"We have won the trust of Korean Broadcasting Systems (KBS), our largest customer in South Korea, through our high-tech systems and the high degree of competence demonstrated by our engineers when it comes to developing special solutions," stated businessman Prof. Dr. Anton Kathrein. "Follow-up orders are the logical result and we are confident that we will continue asserting ourselves against international competition in this highly competitive market."
Two head technicians of the quality assurance department at the Korean broadcasting company and the Technology Institute U1 Media Co., Mr. Yun-Kyo Suh and Mr. Jung-Woo Choi, accompanied by Mr. Michael Son, of the KATHREIN-Asia subsidiary in Seoul, came to Rosenheim to supervise the exhaustive acceptance trials performed on the systems ordered. Export Manager Wolfgang Niedhammer and Project Manager Christian Finger, of Kathrein’s Broadcast Antenna division, conducted the acceptance trials to everyone’s utmost satisfaction.
After a day of hard work, and as it was their visit to Germany and Bavaria, the Korean guests were glad to go on an excursion to Lake Chiemsee and pay a visit to the King’s castle.
